Our Pastor
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Pastor Brian Judy on February 28. The fundraiser to help his family cover the costs of his medical care continues. If you would like to make a donation, please visit: www.gofundme.com/BrianJudyLoveFund or place a donation in the offering plate.
A guest book can be signed or condolences sent to the family at www.heintzelmanfuneralhome.com. Rev. Lee Ellenberger is filling in at Grays United Methodist Church as interim pastor until June 30, the end of the appointment year. He currently pastors the Park Forest Village United Methodist Church, is the State College UM Cluster leader, and serves on the Susquehanna Conference Order of Elders Steering Committee. A short bio in his own words: I was raised on a small dairy farm close to the village of Grantville, about 5 miles north of Hershey. I graduated from Lycoming College, Williamsport and from Methodist Theological Seminary, Delaware, Ohio. My home church, St. John’s United Methodist Church, Grantville, is very similar in spirit with Grays – a strong faith in Jesus Christ and a passionate outreach program. (Check out the ‘Ministries’ and ‘Calendar’ tabs on this website!) I met my wife Debby at college, and last summer we celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary. The closest we come to parenthood was raising two Siamese cats – Nicholas and Nadia – for 18 years. My personal hobbies include reading, walking, and enjoying nature, whether in the mountains or at the seashore. “I invite you to consider making Grays United Methodist Church your spiritual home. Here you will be surrounded with the love of Jesus Christ and with the reality that God is with us in all the seasons of life.” M.
